Media, Meaning and Ministry in the Digital Reformation:
The Paddock Lectures by Dr. Elizabeth Drescher
Dr. Elizabeth Drescher will deliver this year’s prestigious Paddock Lectures on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dr. Drescher is a truly dynamic speaker, scholar and researcher on issues critical to ministry: the spiritual lives of the religiously unaffiliated, spiritual and pastoral implications of the increasing integration of digital social media in everyday life, and how communities of faith can minister in a world of dramatically expanded religious, spiritual, and epistemological boundaries.
The lecture series, “Media, Meaning, and Ministry in the Digital Reformation,” will examine the roots of digital reformation, introduce Dr. Drescher’s research on the spiritual lives of religious “nones,” and explore the digitally integrated, postmodern, and expanding universe of belief, spirituality, and institutional religion across geographies and generations.
The public is welcome to attend any or all of the lectures. For more information click here, and to register, go to paddock2013.eventbrite.com or click here.
