Dr. Lamborn’s scholarly work focuses on the relationship between depth psychology and theology.  Her recent publications include such topics as interdisciplinary methodology, Trinitarian theology and models of self/subjectivity, and Jungian psychology, phenomenology, and theology.  Her most recent paper, “The Fourth Reduction:  Carl Jung, Richard Kearney, and the Via Tertia of Otherness,” was a featured presentation at the 2011 Psychology and the Other Conference in Boston.   In Spring 2012 Lamborn will serve as an invited panelist at the President’s Conference at Bethany Theological Seminary where she will discuss issues pertaining to human sexuality.  She is currently developing a book proposal based on her dissertation, Figuring the Self, Figuring the Sacred:  Imagining Unity and Multiplicity in Depth Psychology and Theology.   Lamborn’s teaching and academic work is enriched by her varied clinical and parish experience.  She has served as a chaplain in both Atlanta and Indianapolis, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings.  She has also served parishes in Indiana and New York.  Most recently, she was Theologian-in-Residence at Christ Church, Bronxville.  In addition to her faculty work a General Seminary, she is also currently an analyst-in-training with the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association in New York.   Dr. Lamborn has previously taught as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College and Auburn Theological Seminary, and as a tutor and lecturer at Union Theological Seminary, where she was awarded the Robert Wood Lynn Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching.  Lamborn is a member of the Psychology, Person, and Culture Group of the American Academy of Religion, the Society for Pastoral Theology, and is a Clinical Member of the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.
