Parish Support of GTS
Each year, gifts from parishes and dioceses account for nearly half of all contributions given to sustain teaching and learning at the Seminary. Receiving no funds from the national church, General relies upon parishes to uphold the 1% standard for support of theological education.
Seminarians at GTS hail from nearly half of the dioceses and all of the provinces in the Episcopal Church. Students and faculty exchange divergent views on all topics at issue in the church. Your parish support ensures that this vibrant community of faithful inquiry and learning will continue to thrive.
The Rev. Timothy Patterson '89 (pictured right), is rector of Holy Trinity Church in Greensboro, NC. Holy Trinity supports theological education at GTS with an annual gift.
