Giving ~ Ways to Give ~ Pledges
Pledges
General Seminary encourages donors to consider offering an early pledge, with payments scheduled at the donor’s convenience. Annual fund pledges should be paid by the end of the Seminary’s current fiscal year, June 30. Capital and endowment pledges may be paid over a period of up to five years. The Seminary can provide a pledge card or letter of intent for gifts of this sort.
Advantages: Making a pledge enables you to plan your giving so it is most convenient and most tax-wise. Spreading the payment period over several years allows charitable deductions to be claimed in years when tax liability is greatest. A pledge also makes it possible for you to consider a gift more significant than may otherwise be possible.
