PR1-Preaching in the Liturgy
PR 1 — PREACHING IN THE LITURGY
This is the basic course in preaching, and it is designed to give a general introduction to the theology of preaching and to the practices associated with effective sermon design and delivery within the liturgical context. The person of the preacher, the nature of preaching, and strategies of sermon preparation will be discussed. Attention will be given to faithful exegesis of scripture and how to sensitively and effectively adapt the gospel message to the pressing concerns of congregations within our particular cultural setting.
