AT 331/PT 10/CS 10 WRESTLINGS WITH THE STRANGER: INTERPRETING OTHERNESS

In this seminar we will explore critically three major psychological, philosophical, and theological engagements with the issue of Otherness (or, reflections on encounters with the Stranger): Ann Ulanov's Finding Space, selected essays by Richard Kearney, and Miroslav Volf's Exclusion and Embrace. The goal of the course is to formulate a variety of pastoral theological responses issues of the Other/Otherness, from internal otherness to interfaith "others." 

Prof. Lamborn. 3 credits.
