Faculty Bio
April Stace is Assistant Professor of Practical Theology and Director of Contextual Education at The General Theological Seminary, where she designed and leads the Contextual Ministry (CXM) program integrating classroom learning, spiritual formation, and practical experience. A priest, educator, musician, and writer, her work bridges theology, creativity, and lived experience. She is the author of White Knuckle Love: A Memoir of Holding and Secular Music, Sacred Space, and her forthcoming book, Poly in the Pews: Reexamining Relationships, Sex, and What It Means to Be Faithful (Fortress Press, 2026), explores the lives of polyamorous Christians. Her teaching and scholarship center on how faith takes shape in contemporary contexts—through art, relationships, and the everyday practices of ministry. She has released six albums as a solo artist and with her band, Harp 46.
