The Transition

For most higher education institutions, the pattern of the summer is always different. The students have left the campus; and classes have finished. In the season of a traditional residential program, this would be the pause in the year.

However, GTS is different. Preparations are being made for the hybrid students. They have a residence next week. There will be services to organize; classes to teach; and a thriving campus to navigate.

Today’s commentary is a little strange. On the one hand, I want to thank all those who worked so hard to make commencement a success and celebrate a semester that has unfolded well; and on the other hand, I want to thank all those who are preparing for the arrival of students. We are in this transition moment from a fully residential program to a hybrid program. So today, I simply thank everyone for everything they are doing.
